Otakana ends each puzzle with a two-line card about the answer, which is enough to close the round and not much more. These pages are the long version. Each one covers a single character or term: who they are, which series they belong to, what year they turned up, and why the name is shaped the way it is.

The spelling notes are the part you cannot get from a wiki. Anime names reach English through romanization, and romanization makes choices. GOJOU and GOJO are the same person. Rufi and LUFFY are the same pirate. When a guess feels right and the row still turns grey, the reason is usually sitting in one of those choices, so every page ends with the traps for that particular word.
