Your stats, streak, assist counts, theme choice and in-progress board are saved in your browser’s localStorage under keys beginning with otakana.. That data never leaves your device and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser storage deletes it permanently.

There are no accounts, no login, no cookies set by us, no analytics scripts and no advertising on the site as it stands.

The site is served as static files from a content delivery network. Like any web host, it processes standard request data such as your IP address and user agent to deliver the page and to protect against abuse. We do not build profiles from it.

Otakana intends to add privacy-respecting analytics and, later, advertising to pay for hosting. Neither is live today. This page is a placeholder and will be replaced with a complete policy naming every provider, the data each one receives, the legal basis, and your choices, before any tracking or ad code ships.

Otakana is a general audience word game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
