Mugi plays keyboard, and she is the only trained musician in the room, having done classical piano since she was small. She is also extremely rich. Her family owns the holiday house the band uses for training camp, which becomes a beach trip within an hour of arrival, and she treats every mundane school activity as a small holiday from a life with staff in it.
The tea and cake are hers. She stocks the club room out of her own pocket with things the others cannot pronounce, and nobody thinks to ask why until much later. Her pleasure in it is genuine and slightly odd: she has friends who argue with her, which is new, and she watches them do it with the attention other people give to a film.
Her name is a fabric. Tsumugi is a hand-spun silk, coarse and expensive at once, and Kotobuki is the character used for congratulations and long life. For the character who furnishes the room and pours for everyone else, both halves land.
Spelling TSUMUGI
TSUMUGI opens with TS, a pair English only tolerates in the middle of a word, and that first kana costs three letters before you reach a vowel at all. Seven letters, three of them U or I, no doubles. Her friends shorten her to Mugi, which is the same word with the awkward start removed. If the front two tiles are giving you trouble, work the ending first and let MUGI pull the rest.
