Lust works as the field agent of the homunculi, which mostly means walking into a room ahead of everyone else and removing whoever objects. Her weapon is her own hand: the nails stretch into long thin blades that pass through stone and steel, and she uses them at a range most opponents misjudge badly on the first attempt.
The name suggests a manipulator and the series only partly delivers one. She works alongside Gluttony, reports to a superior she does not question, and treats human attachment as a lever rather than a feeling. What she wants for herself stays vague, which makes her early scenes strange in a useful way: she is doing a job whose purpose is being withheld from her too.
Her fight with Roy Mustang in Brotherhood is a turning point, the moment the series stops being about two boys hunting a stone and starts being about a country. Arakawa's homunculi arrive as puzzle pieces, and Lust is the first one the story lets the audience solve. Kikuko Inoue voices her in Japanese.
Spelling LUST
LUST is four letters with a single vowel and no Japanese behind it, since the homunculi carry English sin words in the manga and both dubs. The ST cluster at the end is the reliable part of the row. Once you have placed the U there is very little else that fits, which makes this one of the shorter puzzles in the set.
