Maine leads the mercenary team David falls in with, and he leads it the way an older brother would: loud, generous, unbearable in a bar. His arms are heavy combat chrome and his body carries more of it than a nervous system was built to hold. The crew knows what that means. Everyone in Night City has watched somebody cross that line.
Cyberpsychosis is the setting's word for what happens when a person adds more machine than mind can carry. It arrives as paranoia, then rage, then a name on a police alert. Maine keeps upgrading anyway, because the jobs keep getting harder and the alternative is losing them to somebody else. Lucy sees it early. Dorio, his partner, stays regardless.
Trigger's design gives him a wide silhouette and a voice that fills whatever room he walks into, which makes his quieter scenes land harder than they should. He is the one who tells David what an edgerunner really is, and the definition he offers is not flattering to himself. Ten episodes is a short run for a character built this carefully.
Spelling MAINE
MAINE is five letters and sounds exactly like main, which is the trap: the silent E at the end is the entire difference. Spell it like the American state, M-A-I-N-E, with the I before the N. Two vowels sit together in the middle, so confirming either one usually hands you the other for free.
