Sakura Haruno starts as the cleverest student in her year and the least useful member of Team 7, a gap she is painfully aware of. Her real advantage is chakra control, an unglamorous skill that means she wastes nothing. Tsunade builds an entire career on top of it: medical ninjutsu, which needs a precision that no amount of raw power can substitute for.
The other half of that training is force. Push a controlled burst into a fist at the moment of contact and the ground stops being ground. Her strength is Tsunade's, learned rather than inherited, and the series uses it for terrifying and comic effect, sometimes in consecutive panels on the same page.
Sakura is the character Naruto fans argue about most, and a fair amount of the argument is about what Kishimoto did and did not give her to do. What she is on the page is a medic who can restart a heart in the field and then flatten whoever stopped it. Her given name means cherry blossom and Haruno means of the spring.
