The younger Toguro brother fights in dark glasses and a black suit stretched over a build that grows visibly larger as he decides to take an opponent seriously. His habit of announcing the fraction of his power currently in use began as intimidation and became the series' clearest way of measuring a threat. Sixty percent is polite. The higher figures arrive with the muscle mass to prove them.
He works for a human backer in the Dark Tournament, the arc that defines Yu Yu Hakusho's second half, and his purpose in the story is to be the thing Yusuke cannot beat by trying harder. Yoshihiro Togashi wrote him as a former human who chose to become a monster, which makes the fight an argument about what strength is for rather than a contest of numbers.
The elder brother is the counterweight, a stretching, sneering thing who cannot be killed by ordinary damage and who exists to make the younger one look dignified. Between them they set the template that shonen tournament villains have been copying since 1992.
Spelling TOGURO
TOGURO is the family name shared by both brothers, six letters, three beats, to-gu-ro. The vowels do the work: O then U then O, so the row is consonant and vowel all the way with no clusters and no doubles. The G is hard, as in go. Guesses tend to fail by reaching for TOGORO or TOGURU, both of which reverse the middle vowel.
