Tsunade is the best medical ninja in the world and the granddaughter of the First Hokage, which gives her a claim on a village she spends years refusing. She left after losing her brother and the man she loved, developed a phobia of blood, and went on the road to drink and gamble. Jiraiya has to go and fetch her when the village needs a leader.
Her medicine rests on chakra control fine enough to knit tissue back together, and the same control drives her strength: chakra released at the instant of impact, so a flick of one finger sends a grown man across a room. The Strength of a Hundred Seal on her forehead is stored chakra, years of it, saved for the day the healing has to run without pause.
The gambling is a running gag with a rule attached. She almost always loses, so a winning streak means something terrible is about to happen, and the cast reads her luck as a weather forecast. She also holds a genjutsu that keeps her looking about thirty, and it slips the moment she runs out of chakra to spend on it.
Spelling TSUNADE
TSUNADE opens with TSU, one character in Japanese and three letters in English, and that is where the row goes wrong. The final E is sounded: tsu-na-de, three beats. Seven letters, with U, A and E landing in that order on tiles three, five and seven. She is the slug of the three Sannin, if that helps the shape stick.
