Aura commands an army of corpses without ever having to fight them. Her spell is a set of scales: her mana on one side and yours on the other, and whoever weighs less loses control of their own body. Since she has been alive for five hundred years and has kept the dead of every battle she won, the arithmetic is usually settled before the fighting starts.
She is one of the Seven Sages of Destruction, the demon king's senior officers, and she treats humans as a resource with a shelf life. Frieren draws its demons this way on purpose. They speak human languages fluently, use words like mother and mercy in the right places, and mean none of it, because the words are hunting tools rather than feelings.
The scales are also the weakness, and the answer is not a bigger spell. It is arithmetic, patience and a habit an elf picked up across a thousand years of never needing to prove anything to anybody. The fight is one of the most discussed in the series precisely because it is decided before it begins.
Spelling AURA
AURA is four letters and an ordinary English word, so the only difficulty is the vowel run at the front: A, U, R, A. Frieren names most of its cast in German, and this one is the outlier, a Latin word for breeze that English swallowed whole. Three vowels across four tiles makes it a useful opening guess even on other puzzles.
