Lord Boros commands the Dark Matter Thieves, a fleet that flattens planets for practice. He is tall, horned, one-eyed, and his body regenerates faster than anything can cut it, which is precisely the problem he came to solve. A fortune teller told him he would one day meet an opponent worth fighting, so he pointed his ship at Earth and waited two decades to arrive.
The fight is the climax of the first anime season and the closest One Punch Man comes to a straight shonen battle. Boros peels off the armour that was holding his own power in, then lands hit after hit on a bald man in a cape who mostly looks mildly interested in the weather. Then Saitama stops being polite and the arc ends.
What makes Boros work is that he wants the same thing Saitama lost. Both of them are too strong to enjoy anything, and only one of them crossed a galaxy about it. ONE wrote the original webcomic in 2009, Yusuke Murata began redrawing it in 2012, and Madhouse animated this fight in 2015 with a budget that is visible in every frame.
Spelling BOROS
BOROS is five letters and reads the same in either language, ボロス. The pattern is what to remember: B, O, R, O, S, with the two O's in the even slots and consonants around them. No long vowel, no doubling, and no L anywhere to confuse with the R. Say bo-ro-su, drop the last vowel, type BOROS.
