Ryota Kise came to basketball late and by accident. He was already a magazine model, bored by sports he mastered too quickly, and picked up a ball in middle school out of curiosity. Within a year he was one of the Generation of Miracles, which tells you both how gifted he is and how little that gift cost him at the time.
The ability is imitation. Kise watches a move, then performs it, and his copy is often better than the original because he brings his own reach and speed to it. The series sets the limits carefully: he cannot copy what his body physically cannot do, and the harder he leans on the skill the faster he burns through what he has.
He plays for Kaijo and treats Kuroko as the person who taught him what effort means, which makes him the friendliest of the Miracles and also the one most visibly afraid of falling behind. Fujimaki keeps the whining in place for the whole run. The talent is enormous. The confidence underneath it is not.
Spelling KISE
KISE is four letters, one of the shortest names in this library, and it is the family name rather than Ryota. The colour rule holds here too, since the surname opens with the character for yellow. Two vowels, two consonants, strict alternation, nothing doubled. The only slip is hearing KISHE, because that S never softens.
