Legosi is a grey wolf, seventeen, and roughly the size of a doorway. He works backstage in the Cherryton drama club, hunches to look smaller, and apologises for existing at a rate of about once a scene. None of this is modesty. He has read the same statistics everyone else has about what carnivores do when they stop concentrating.
The story starts when an alpaca is eaten on campus at night. Legosi did not do it, but he understands the appetite well enough to be a suspect inside his own head, and the investigation he runs is mostly an investigation of himself. His interest in Haru, a rabbit small enough to fit in his mouth, is where the question stops being theoretical.
Paru Itagaki draws him with the loose, shaggy line of an old horror poster, and the name is a nod to Bela Lugosi, who played Dracula. Studio Orange animated the 2019 series in CG and gave him a walk that reads as an apology in motion. The manga ran in Weekly Shonen Champion from 2016 to 2020, an odd home for a story this interested in appetite.
Spelling LEGOSI
LEGOSI is six letters, and the H is the trap. English releases have used both Legosi and Legoshi for the katakana レゴシ, so half the fandom types an H out of habit. Otakana wants the shorter one. Sound it out as le-go-shi and then delete the H, or start from Bela Lugosi and swap the U for an E.
