Louis is the drama club's leading man and the most powerful herbivore at Cherryton, which he manages without any physical advantage at all. His method is refusal. He does not flinch, he does not ask for help, and he treats every carnivore on campus as a subordinate until they behave like one. It works, because everybody around him wants somebody to be certain.
The certainty costs him. He was bought, not born into the family whose name he carries, and the childhood behind that purchase is the reason he cannot allow a predator to see him weak. His rivalry with Legosi is lopsided in every measurable way and completely even in the only way either of them cares about.
Beastars hands him the school-politics half of the plot: club elections, the Beastar title itself, and the question of who gets to speak for animals that other animals eat. Studio Orange's CG is at its best on Louis, whose whole performance is posture. Paru Itagaki serialised the manga in Weekly Shonen Champion from 2016, and the anime reached Netflix worldwide in 2020.
Spelling LOUIS
LOUIS is five letters and the Japanese does not help you. ルイ reads Rui, two syllables, with no trace of the O or the S. The name is French on the page and the game wants the French spelling: L, then the OU pair, then IS. If you hear loo-ee and type LOUIE, you are the right length and the wrong word.
