Levi kills titans by spinning. The vertical gear turns him into a rotating pair of blades that takes the nape off a fifteen-metre body without slowing down, and animating that is a large part of why Wit Studio's Attack on Titan looked like nothing else on television in 2013. The army reckons him worth an entire brigade. The estimate is arithmetic rather than flattery.
The cleaning is a joke that turns out to be a character. He came up from the underground city beneath the capital, a place with no sunlight and no sanitation, and now keeps his quarters, his blades and his teacup immaculate. He also holds the cup by the rim, which readers have argued about for a decade. Erwin recruited him out of that underground after Levi tried to kill him.
He has topped the series' popularity polls almost every time one has run, and Kodansha gave him a prequel of his own, A Choice with No Regrets, adapted into an OVA in 2014. For a character with roughly forty words of dialogue an episode, that is a remarkable amount of demand. Hiroshi Kamiya voices him, flat and bored, which somehow makes it worse.
Spelling LEVI
LEVI is four letters and the game wants the given name, not ACKERMAN. English readers will try to say it like the jeans, but the Japanese reads Rivai, using the Japanese R that English ears hear halfway towards an L. Same four tiles either way. The I on the end is the letter people replace with a Y, and that is the miss that costs the row.
