Shinra Kusakabe is a third generation pyrokinetic, which in this world means his own body produces the flame. His comes out of the soles of his feet, letting him run along walls and kick hard enough to break a floor. As a child the same fire got him blamed for the house fire that killed his mother, and the neighbourhood started calling him the devil.
The other thing that happens under stress is the grin. His face pulls into a wide smile when he is frightened or cornered, which convinced everyone around him that he was enjoying himself. He joins Company 8 planning to become a hero, largely so that the word devil stops being the first one people reach for when they see him.
The setting gives him plenty of work. Human beings ignite without warning and become Infernals, burning things that still walk, and the special fire companies exist to put them to rest. Shinra's private case never closes, though. He saw something in his house that night, and he is fairly sure it was not an accident.
Spelling SHINRA
SHINRA is six letters and the game wants the given name rather than KUSAKABE. Watch the middle, where an N is followed straight by an R with no vowel between them. English speakers tend to fill that gap and write SHINARA. Three beats, shi-n-ra, and the SH at the front is the standard romanisation of the Japanese shi syllable.
