Shota Aizawa teaches hero course class 1-A at U.A. High and looks like a man who has not slept in years. His quirk, Erasure, cancels another person's quirk for as long as he keeps looking at them, so he wins fights by refusing to blink and loses them when his dry eyes force the issue. He covers the gap with a capture weapon, a long band of steel-threaded cloth he throws like a net.
The expulsion threat is not a bluff. He has thrown out a whole class before for failing to show potential, and his students learn fast that the standard is judgement rather than effort. He also puts himself between them and danger without a moment of hesitation, which the series demonstrates early and expensively. The distance between how he talks to his class and what he does for them is the entire character.
His hero name is Eraser Head and he works underground, staying out of the media on purpose, because a quirk that only functions on people who do not see it coming loses value the moment it is famous. Kohei Horikoshi began My Hero Academia in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2014 and Bones animated it from 2016. Aizawa places high in the series' own popularity polls, which is unusual for a teacher.

Six letters, AIZAWA, and this is the family name; Shota is the given name and not the answer. Three A's sit at the first, fourth and sixth positions, so one confirmed vowel almost draws the rest of the row for you. The Z is the letter that settles it.
