Hawk lives at the Boar Hat, a tavern built on the back of an enormous pig, and his job is eating whatever the customers leave behind. He describes this as captaining the Order of Scraps Disposal, a knightly title he invented, and he takes it seriously enough to defend it out loud to anybody who laughs at the wrong moment.
He talks constantly. Hawk is the one character who will say the obvious thing about Meliodas, about the food, about the danger, or about the sheer stupidity of the plan, and he says it in the voice of a small pink animal who cannot back any of it up. He has real uses too: a nose that tracks a scent across a country, and a stubbornness that occasionally puts him between a friend and something enormous.
Nakaba Suzuki keeps him in almost every scene, which is a lot of load for a comic mascot to carry. Seven Deadly Sins is a violent fantasy about war between races, with a body count to match, and a pig complaining about the washing up is a large part of why the tone holds together at all.
Spelling HAWK
HAWK is four letters and the W decides the row, since almost nothing else in the answer list needs one. There is no Japanese trap: the katakana ホーク is the English bird word borrowed straight back. Worth noting that the pig is named after a bird and lives in a tavern named after a boar, so nothing about the naming in this series is going to help you.
