Kakyoin arrives as an enemy. DIO has planted a flesh bud in his skull, and he attacks Jotaro's school with Hierophant Green, a Stand that stretches into tentacles, hides inside other people's bodies and fires a shotgun spread of energy called Emerald Splash. Jotaro removes the bud by hitting him in the head, correctly, which is the closest thing to surgery this series performs.
Freed, he joins the trip to Egypt and turns out to be the strategist of the group. Hierophant Green is the only Stand on the team that works at long range, so he scouts, sets tripwires of invisible string across whole rooms, and works out what an opponent's rules are while everyone else is being hit by them. He is also the only one who reads the situation before charging into it.
The cherries are the part the internet kept. In a hotel room in Hong Kong he lifts a cherry into his mouth with his tongue, spins it, and returns the bare stem, all while explaining that he had no friends growing up because of his Stand. The scene is quiet and sad, the sound effect is rero rero rero, and it has been looped several million times since.
Spelling KAKYOIN
KAKYOIN is seven letters, and the middle is a consonant cluster English does not make often: KY, one sound, not two syllables. Japanese writes 花京院 with a long O in the middle, so a strict romanisation gives KAKYOUIN and the U has to go. Watch the ending too, an OI vowel pair before the final N. The row wants the family name, not Noriaki.
