Mista carries a revolver and six small Stand creatures called Sex Pistols, who ride on his hat, argue with him, eat pizza and kick his bullets in mid-air to change their path. A shot he fires can turn a corner, bounce off a pipe and arrive behind cover. The Pistols are numbered one to seven with number four missing, because he refused to have a fourth.
The superstition is not a bit of colour, it is the shape of his life. Four is unlucky in Japanese because the word for it sounds like the word for death, and Mista treats the number as a live threat: four bullets, four enemies, four of anything. He fires a fifth shot instead. He joined Passione after killing three men to stop a crime and going to prison for it, which is roughly how his judgement works throughout.
Golden Wind sends him across Italy with Bucciarati's team, guarding a boss's daughter while the organisation turns on them, and he takes more visible damage than anyone else on the roster. He also survives most of it, cheerfully, which the numbering gag makes funnier than it should be.
Spelling MISTA
MISTA is five letters and stops one short of the English word it looks like. Japanese writes ミスタ with no trailing R sound at all, so MISTER and MISTAH both overshoot the row. The A ending is the fix. The game wants the family name here, not Guido, and the S in the middle is the only consonant cluster to place.
