Asui Tsuyu is the calmest student in 1-A, which is not at all the same as the quietest. Her quirk hands her a frog's abilities in full: adhesive fingertips, enormous standing jumps, a tongue metres long, camouflage, and enough cold tolerance to work in water that would stop the rest of the class. Put her in a rescue exercise and she is the most useful person there by a distance.
What she is really known for is saying the thing nobody else will. When the class debates going after a kidnapped classmate on their own, she is the one who states plainly that this is the kind of thing villains do, and she says it in tears rather than as a challenge. Kohei Horikoshi uses her as the conscience of 1-A, and she is right often enough to sting.
The nickname is a running joke with a point behind it. She asks people to call her Tsuyu rather than Asui and keeps asking until they do, which is about the friendliest form insistence can take. Her hero name is Froppy. Bones animates her straight rather than for laughs, and she ends up with some of the clearest fight choreography in the show.
Spelling TSUYU
Five letters, TSUYU, and the answer is the given name; the family name Asui, the one she keeps asking people not to use, is not what the tiles want. The TS opening is the hurdle, since English never starts a word that way. Both U's sit in the third and fifth slots with the Y between them. The word means the rainy season, which is a good name for a frog.
